Featured in the Vegetarian Good Food Magazine Summer Special 2008 'Tried & Tasted' section our delicious Aromatic butternut squash coconut curry won the judges flavour of approval coming first, along with our extensive variety of vegetarian options available which also impressed the judges. Our Butternut squash coconut curry, with its wonderfully perfumed coconut sauce flavoured with lime, ginger, garlic and a little chilli just to give it a little heat. This is a very mild dish that has some amazing flavours and came out on top closely followed by our Gado Gado.

How can I buy your products?

You can buy online by using the left hand menu or the search box, to view our varied ranges, then enter the quantity of dishes required and simply click ADD TO BASKET when you see the product(s) you want to buy.

Alternatively you can call and place your order over the phone, but please make sure you have all your payment and delivery details to hand. Our number is 0870 140 3213. 

You can further purchase our products by sending your order to us via the post with your cheque written out to 'kitchenmonkey.co.uk Ltd' or through our home agents in your local areas throughout the UK and partnerships like Kirby & West Dairy, Nursery Groups and various farmfood shops etc.

How do I pay for my order?

When you place an order you will be asked for your credit or debit card details. We use a secure site (see our shopsafe award) for all payment transactions and your card will be charged immediately. All cheques should be made payable to kitchenmonkey.co.uk Ltd.

How do I prepare the food when it arrives?

All of our products can be cooked straight from frozen and full cooking instructions and ingredients are provided on every product. You can either micowave or oven our products whichever you prefer as shown upon our label.

Why do you sell frozen food not chilled?

Our dishes are simply air-blast frozen as soon as they are prepared to maintain the appearance, nutrients, flavour and texture of the dishes, so you get dishes that look, taste and smell home prepared (because they are). Freezing also means the products contain fewer artificial colours and preservatives than supermarket chilled meals which are often packed with nasty additives to keep them "fresh" for longer.

Do you have products suitable for vegetarians?

We have a wide range of vegetable and soya products that are suitable for vegetarians. All of our puddings and many of our sides are also suitable for vegetarians. Products suitable for vegetarians are indicated by a green V symbol. Our Aromatic Butternut Squash Coconut Curry was selected as number 1 in the BBC Good Food Magazines Summer Vegetarian Special 2008 above M&S & Tesco products.

How are your products different from other ready meal suppliers?

All of our meals are prepared by our experienced team with over 12 years food experience supplying prestigious establishments like Harrods & Selfridges within the UK.  Our team of chefs, led by our awarded head chef, have years of experience at creating fine food. We only cook products in small batches using only good quality, fresh locally sourced natural ingredients, such as British meats and vegetables just as you or I would do at home. We are all passionate about food and prepare only the finest of dishes for you as we do for our own families & guests.

Where do you delivery too?

 We deliver to any UK address be it your home address, address of a family member or friend (if you are ordering a anniversary or birthday gift just let us know what message you would like us to put inside your food parcel), student accomodation (delivered to your daughters or sons campus), holiday home or site or places of work.   

When will my order arrive?

Your order will be delivered between 09:00 am and 5:30 pm, within 2 working days after we receive your order. Please note we only deliver Tuesday- Friday, so if you order on a Friday (or after 4pm on a Thursday) your delivery will not arrive until the following Tuesday. We do not deliver on Bank Holidays or the day after a Bank Holiday.

All orders received after 4pm will be counted as being received the following working day.  Please let us know if you need your order on a certain day and we will do our best to accomodate such as a birthday or anniversary for you!

How much does delivery cost and how will my products be packed?

Look out for our special promotional codes remember to enter your promotional code given so you obtain your promtional delivery offer.      Orders over £75 are delivered FREE of charge.                                           For orders of between £50- £75 a reduced delivery charge of £3.95 applies. For orders under £50 a delivery charge of £4.95 applies.

The order are packed as follows:

  • A sturdy cardboard outer box to keep the food safe during transit
  • A specially designed polystyrene liner to insulate the parcel and keep the product temperature below -18˚C
  • Individual trays and sleeves for each item ordered to make storage and cooking easier for you
  • 2- 3 1.4kg bags of Dry Ice (Carbondioxide pellets) at a temperature of -178˚C
  • fast, efficient delivery by our established and reliable nationwide courier service

Please also remember if you are using one of our partners or agents please return your packaging as instructed so your packaging can be recycled. Thank you for your assistance with our Eco policy.

What should I do if I'm going to be out on the delivery day?

There are 2 choices. Firstly you could have the food delivered to an alternative address, such as a work address, to a neighbour or to a friend or relative. Alternatively you can leave clear, alternative delivery details when placing your order such as "leave in the porch, in the garage, by the back door etc." Please note however, a delivery that is not signed for is left "at you own risk" if the driver can find a reasonably secure place to leave the package, Kitchen Monkey cannot accept responsibility for any damages or losses caused.

What happens about lost or damaged goods?

If goods are lost or damaged we will process a replacement order or a refund, whichever you prefer. However we reserve the right to request the return of damaged goods for q.c testing and inspection.

Do you have any products that are nut free?

Most of our products do not contain nuts however we cannot guarantee they don't contain traces of nuts as they are prepared in an environment that handles nuts and nut products.
